Jean Galvin, President of Florida’s Essentially Staged LLC, knows first hand that home staging isn’t just about decorating, it’s about decorating homes to sell quickly and for top dollar.

Jean’s past career in real estate make her home staging recommendations especially relevant to her clients.

One recent project sold over asking after only two hours on the market.

How the Home Staging Process Works

Jean Galvin of Essentially Staged, LLC conducts a thorough and comprehensive consultation providing specific room-by-room recommendations along with detailed ‘curb appeal’ suggestions for the exterior.

Jean pinpoints areas in need of:

  • Clean-up
  • Repair
  • Fresh paint

Jean identifies the furnishings and accessories to:

  • Replace
  • Remove
  • Relocate

A house for sale needs to ’show off’ its best face, optimizing light and space. It must appear warm and welcoming, while allowing potential buyers to visualize the house as their own home.

Essentially Staged accommodates a wide scope of home staging needs.

Jean first conducts a thorough “walk through consultation” noting essential enhancements to make the house more eye appealing to a buyer.

At that point, some clients choose to perform the required tasks themselves, while other clients prefer to have some assistance with their staging project such as shopping for new bedding, towels, and other accessories or perhaps choosing new color schemes.

Others choose to have the entire process managed from rearranging current furnishings and accessorizing to sourcing professional organizers, painters, carpenters, furniture rentals, storage facilities, and landscapers.

This is especially advantageous for real estate agents and their clients trying to sell an empty house— real estate agents know empty houses never show as well as tastefully furnished ones.

Essentially StagedRedesign Services also available

Jean also works with clients who want to:

  • Redecorate
  • Reorganize
  • De-clutter

Time is a precious commodity; having an objective professional assist you with the planning, shopping, rearranging, or sourcing services can relieve a lot of the stress involved in a redesign project.

Whether clients are preparing to sell a house or simply want to give their home a new look “on a budget”, Jean Galvin can help them become essentially staged.

About Jean Galvin

Jean worked for over 15 years as a national consultant and director of training before becoming a licensed realtor in Massachusetts.

After moving to Florida, her lifelong love for redecorating and home staging projects, along with her past consulting and real estate experience, led her to form Essentially Staged following graduating from the Staging Diva Home Staging Business Training Program.

What a client says about Jean Galvin of Essentially Staged

“Jean Galvin staged one of my listings and coordinated the painting, cleaning, redecorating and landscaping. On the day of the Real Estate Agents’ Open House, all was sparkling, inviting and ready to show— right down to the lighting and soft music. Thanks to Jean’s tasteful eye and attention to detail, the house sold after only two hours on the market at more than the asking price!

Jean is now assisting agents and clients in Central Florida but I continue to use a home stager whenever I have listings in need of that extra touch to help them stand out from the competing homes. It is my opinion that Jean is a true professional and one of the best in her field.”

Family Room Staging

Before

After

This room was overcrowded with furniture not suitable to the style of a Florida family room. New window treatments were added to brighten the room and diminish the pink effect— the room was not repainted. With the new look, the family room is stylish, inviting and appears much larger.

Lanai Staging

Before

After

A bamboo screen and large plants were brought in to give the pool area more privacy. The lanai becomes a welcoming area for both social gatherings and private escapes by replacing some of the plastic patio furniture and adding a carpet and more plants.

Dining Room Staging

Before

After

The dining room is made to appear larger by changing the rectangular table for a round table. Lowering the chandelier and adding some candles, placemats and accessories on the table plus another scarf to the window treatment for a bit of color contrast makes the room warm and inviting... a formal dining room with a casual and intimate feel.
