Calgary-based Grand Openings Home Staging was started by Diane Sebastian. After a successful career in sales and client services in the lighting industry, Diane is focusing her efforts on making Grand Openings Home Staging the premier, professional home staging company in Calgary.
Diane has a vast amount of moving experience herself, having moved 15 times over the past 35 years. She has prepared many homes for Open Houses, keeping in mind the importance of a great first impression.
Diane’s training with Debra Gould, The Staging Diva®, her own love of decorating and re-design and her considerable moving experience give you the perfect combination of talent and experience to help you prepare your home for sale.
Grand Openings Home Staging Consultations
Together you and Diane go through your home, room by room, to decide what changes could be made to reveal the best qualities of your home.
Diane will leave you with a “game plan” to prepare your home for sale or to start your own re-design. You may want to make the changes yourself, but if not, or you just don’t have the time, Diane can manage your project for you, scheduling trades, shopping for accessories or renting furniture, for example.

- Colour consultations – need to paint, but not sure which colours to choose, let Diane help you decide!
- Furniture, accessory, art, lighting re-use and re-arrangement – Diane will show you how to use furnishings and accessories you already have to their best effect!
- Additional furniture/accessory, lighting purchases or rentals (when necessary) – this is especially important for empty spaces, to help buyers visualize how great the space can look.
- De-cluttering – not sure what to keep or throw out? Are you down-sizing and worried all your possessions won’t fit or look good in your new home? Diane’s “third-party” objectivity will help you make those decisions.
- Exterior enhancements – don’t forget how your property looks from the curb – will it make potential buyers stop, take a second look and want to find out what’s inside? If not, Diane can help.
- Source trades when needed – if you can’t do the work yourself, don’t want to, or don’t know anyone reliable, let Diane connect you with the trades.
- Open House Preparations – do you need help doing the last minute touch-ups before your Open House – just call!
