About Jayne Steuart
Jayne has been designing and decorating homes and businesses for 20 years. Her talents have taken her to New York, Seattle, Scottsdale, San Francisco, Denver, and internationally to Jamaica and Mexico. She is a graduate of the Staging Diva Home Staging Business Program. Jayne has lived in Grand Junction, Colorado for 12 years and is now focusing her skills in the community she loves.
Jayne’s design style is welcoming, warm and friendly. With her hallmark “magical” touch, she can transform your home into an inviting place that buyers will find hard to resist. Her understanding of the real estate market gives her an advantage when staging homes to sell. “Our home is our most sacred space”, says Jayne. “It is where we love, laugh, cry, contemplate, celebrate, and nurture those who are dear to us. My passion is staging homes where prospective buyers walk in and immediately say, “I can see myself living here. I want to live here!”
How it Works
Within as little as 2-3 hours with Jayne, you will have begun the process of staging your home! Jayne will walk with you from room to room, re-arranging as time permits, and give you a comprehensive plan of action. She will share with you her secrets for furniture placement, paint color (if needed), cleaning and de-cluttering, space management, curb appeal, and more. Her keen eye for design will have you seeing your home from a potential buyer’s perspective. She will also share her ‘survival tips’ for keeping your newly staged home looking great.
At the end of the paid consultation, you can decide if you want to take on the remaining improvements yourself, or hire Jayne to do it for you. Either way, with her expert guidance, your home will soon rise to the top of the most wanted list!
Redesign
Where home staging is all about appealing to potential buyers, redesign is all about you! Your home, your style, your stuff! Maybe you feel ‘stuck’ in the same old decorating pattern that you’ve had for years. Or maybe you have run out of time and ideas. Jayne can give a fresh new look to your entire home, or the rooms you choose, using as much of your own furniture and accessories as you want. She will help you define your design style. Best of all, Jayne will stick to your budget.

Before staging, this master bedroom was messy and very unappealing. It was difficult for a potential buyer to imagine its potential. By creating a soft, relaxing palette of blue and white, and adding simple but inexpensive architectural details, Jayne transformed this spacious bedroom into a beautiful and irresistible retreat.

Updated kitchens are a must when selling a home. This kitchen was tired and and needed a "WOW" factor. By eliminating the clutter, painting the existing cabinetry and updating the lighting and window treatment, Jayne gave this kitchen a contemporary design that potential buyers loved.

This empty and cavernous space left home seekers feeling lost. To make it more confusing, the walls were light pink (yes, pink!). Since repainting the large walls was not in the owners budget, Jayne painted the trim in a color that neutralized the pink. She then put together a stunning arrangement of furniture, lighting and accessories to show off the rooms potential. Real estate agents were suddenly thrilled and clamoring to show this home to potential buyers!
