Lorraine developed a keen eye for how color, texture, form and scale work together to create a comfortable, inviting home during her extensive career in home furnishings merchandising. She understands that in order for someone to commit to a buying decision, an emotional connection has to be made.
“Merchandising a retail home furnishings environment and merchandising a property for sale are very similar,” says Lorraine. “The goal is to make the buyer fall in love with what they see, and to say ‘I feel comfortable here.’”
Creating a New View of your home through Staging
A consultation in your home, typically lasting 2-3 hours, is the first step in a New View Staging project. Lorraine will walk with you through each area of the property, developing a detailed plan of recommended changes to create maximum impact.
During the consultation we will address such issues as:
- furniture placement
- color selection
- de-cluttering and home organization
- curb appeal and exterior landscaping
You can then decide how much of your property transformation you wish to tackle on your own and how much you wish to have Lorraine and her team take on. We can help with a couple of rooms or the whole house; it’s up to you.
