Interior Redesign is for the way you live in your house

Home Staging is for selling your house

StageStruck serves the Northern Indiana and Southern Michigan towns and cities such as South Bend, Niles, Elkhart, Mishawaka, Edwardsburg, Goshen, and others.

Did you know that it takes 5 minutes to make a first impression? As soon as potential buyers walk through the front door of your open house they know within those first 5 minutes whether or not they are interested in your home. StageStruck can make that impression go from “dull’ to “WOW”!

Staging professional and interior redesigner Sheila Swanson, truly believes that staging the home is now the way to go in order to sell your home quicker and for more money. In these uncertain times of the up and down economy, realtors need an edge to give the disgruntled and frustrated homeowner. That edge is staging.

What to Expect

When you call StageStruck we set up an appointment for a consultation. The length of the consultation depends on whether you need redesign or staging. Redesign itself does not take that long so the consultation is usually one hour. Staging involves walking inside and outside the home and therefore requires two or more hours. For the staging, Sheila will take note on what needs to be replaced , like fixtures, or needs to be updated, repainted, decluttered, or removed all together. The homeowner can then decide to hire StageStruck or do the work themselves. In the case of a vacant house, we recommend renting furniture. We can set that up and take care of the details.

Home staging is the art of decorating a home that is being sold by depersonalizing it. This is done so that potential buyers can picture themselves living in that space. Depersonalizing involves removing family portraits, personal mementoes, children’s art work etc. This may seem harsh, but you are trying to sell your home— not decorate.

StageStruck Home StagingInterior Redesign is decorating that utilizes the homeowner’s personal belongings. Items such as furniture, art, and accessories are rearranged and moved according to how the family lives in that room. Redesign usually takes half a day to complete. Both staging and redesign are stress relievers for both realtor and homeowner. Staged homes sell quicker and for more money than non staged homes. Redesign makes rooms more cheery, less cluttered, lighter, and serene. Since we are professionals, our trained eyes are able to pick out features of the home that need to be worked on in order for the homeowner to “get the biggest bank for their buck.” We know the trends and what features sell homes. Let StageStruck do the stress related work.

StageStruck will also do:

  1. Color Consultation
  2. Personal shopping for accessories and/or furniture. No matter what your budget is we strive to stay within it.

Living Room Staging

Before

After

This room was cluttered and messy. StageStruck used the narrow bookcase and some of the items in the room would be removed so as not to make the room look cluttered.

Porch Staging

Before

After

Before this unadorned porch was very plain and uninviting. Since it was autumn, the owner wanted a fall theme. StageStruck decorated with the homeowner's belongings. Flowers and a wreath were added to brighten up the otherwise drab area.

Living Room Staging

Before

After

To make this an inviting place to sit and read, StageStruck added a bookcase, moved the rocking chair into the corner, and all the books were put into the bookcase. Also, a small vignette was place on top of the dresser and a mirror was hung.
