Aurora Laudisio, owner of Staging Matters, LLC, is a graduate of The Staging Diva Home Staging Business Training Program®. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Rutger’s University and a master’s degree in Teaching from The College of New Jersey. After two rewarding careers in Insurance Claims and Education, she set her eyes on Home Staging to fulfill her passion for home interiors and helping others.
Selling a home is a big deal. It can often be stressful and overwhelming. Aurora provides support and can assist you in taking the guesswork out of showing a home and making it desirable to buyers.
Her love of home décor started at a young age. Her father owned an upholstery business adjacent to the family home. Furniture and fabrics were a part of her everyday surroundings. Some of her favorite memories were accompanying her dad to the homes of clients and seeing which fabrics they chose to renew and complement their existing home décor.
Her ability to look at the big picture, yet pay attention to the smallest detail, allows Aurora to successfully transform spaces. She enjoyed selecting furnishings for her first apartment that brought her vacant studio to life. Since the living quarters were somewhat small, she was able to maximize the space and flow through the careful placement of furniture, which gave it a larger and appealing appearance.
When she and her husband purchased their first home, the décor was outdated. After Aurora’s makeover was complete, family and friends were amazed, and commented on how it looked like a “totally different house”. When it came time to upsize for her growing family, Aurora staged the New Jersey property before it was listed for sale. It was purchased by a couple who lived across the country in California. They viewed the photos on the internet and fell in love with the home without setting foot inside its walls.
Aurora enjoys inspiring others to see the potential in their home. Using color, accessories, functional pieces, and creativity, she has assisted relatives and friends in decorating their homes. Her belief is that a warm inviting space brings inspiration and a sense of belonging to those who live there. When house hunters enter a prospective future home that evokes those qualities, a sale is most likely to occur.
Through her personal experience, Aurora understands that a staged property is one that convinces a buyer he or she has found their new home. Staging a property does matter in terms of getting the best return on your investment. Keep in mind that a few changes can go a long way.
