About Karen Cook
Karen has been involved in the decorating business for approximately 10 years; assisting clients with paint colours, wallpaper choices, draperies, window coverings, and flooring. She has used her expertise to decorate and sell a few of her own homes. One of Karen’s attributes is her talent for choosing paint colours. With her eye for colour and her attention to details, she can help you heighten the appeal of your home to potential buyers.

The Consultation
Karen will come to your home for a 2-3 hour consultation. She begins with an initial walk through of your entire home to view the layout. Then she will do a detailed room to room walk through. In each room she will give suggestions for any enhancements she feels would benefit your home.
If you are planning to do the work yourself, Karen will have a room to room checklist that you can fill out as she goes through your home.
If you decide to have Impressions of Home do the work for you, Karen will look after the necessary details.

The cupboards finish was worn off in many places and hardware was dated. Wallpaper and border on backsplash and bulkhead was peeling. The linoleum on the floor was splitting and worn. The counter-top was chipped and cluttered with too many items. Impressions of Home has transformed this Kitchen by painting the cupboards and replacing the hardware. Wallpaper and border were removed and the backsplash and bulkhead were painted. A new counter-top and new flooring were installed. Now the room is updated and given a fresh new look.

The walls were all dark paneling. The linoleum was dated on the floor. There was too much clutter in the room. Impressions of Home transformed the dining room by replacing the paneling with drywall. The walls were then prepared and painted. New flooring was installed. Now the room looks bright and cheery.

The deck was small with no railing. The shrubs at the front of the deck were clumped together or too far apart. Tree branches were overgrown and obstructing the view of the house. Impressions of Home has transformed this frontage by extending the deck to 10ft. x 32ft. A white railing was added with stairs leading down to a new flagstone walkway. New shrubs and perennials were planted in front of the deck. The branches of the trees were trimmed to provide access through the walkway. All this has created nice curb appeal.
