For one client, Carol King transformed a house for a couple going though a divorce. They had rented it out to tenants, and the property was a disaster when it was time to put it on the Texas real estate market. First everything was cleaned up and painted, then King Staging & Design added furniture, accessories, art and fresh flowers. After the first showing, there were multiple offers and the home sold for more than the asking price.

The walls were painted and all of the cabinetry was refinished in a dark stain to update the look. The brick fireplace was covered in a stucco finish. Drapery panels and slipcovers are added and you have a whole new room.

This room was designed to fit the new owners unique needs. The carpet was replaced with wood flooring, the walls are a beautiful venetian plaster, the ceiling is a bronze metallic glaze, adding drama to the high ceiling. Now the room serves a dual purpose as an entry or a conference room.

The table and chairs were refinished and the chairs and barstools were reupholstered. Outdated lighting was replaced. Add drapery panels, a rug and plant to warm up the room.
